Global Ethics Day 2025
An important day for financial markets participants.
ACI FMA proudly joins the global community in celebrating Global Ethics Day 2025, an international initiative that emphasizes the importance of ethics in shaping a more transparent, responsible, and sustainable world.
Launched in 2014 by the Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs, Global Ethics Day encourages individuals and organizations across all sectors to reflect on how ethics guides their actions and decisions — especially in today’s increasingly complex global landscape.
“Ethical behavior is fundamental to the integrity, fairness, stability, trust and transparency that financial markets depend on,” said Rui Correia, Chief Executive Officer and Chair of the Board of Education at ACI FMA.
“At ACI FMA, we are proud to support Global Ethics Day and reaffirm our commitment to promoting the highest standards of ethical conduct across global financial markets.”
The 2025 theme — “Ethics Re-envisioned” — invites us to rethink how ethical principles can be applied in innovative and inclusive ways to meet the demands of a rapidly evolving world. This year’s keynote focus, “Re-envisioning Humanitarianism for a Changing World,” resonates deeply with ACI FMA’s commitment to financial markets that serve society responsibly and ethically.
As a long-standing advocate for ethical behavior in financial markets, ACI FMA continues to advocate for the FX Global Code (amongst other Codes), which is a set of global principles that promote fairness, transparency, and accountability in the FX Market. Through its certifications, continuous education programs, and industry engagement, ACI FMA helps embed these ethical standards into day-to-day operations and decision-making across the financial ecosystem.
On Global Ethics Day, ACI FMA encourages its members, partners, and the wider financial community to reflect on the role of ethics in their work — and please let’s continue to lead by example, fostering a global culture of trust, integrity, and responsibility in all market activities.
