New ACI FMA Europe co-President
An important announcement from ACI FMA.
ACI FMA would like to announce that, at the recent Council Meeting held on 19th November 2025, Mr. Marcel Zimmermann has joined the ACI FMA Management Board as the new ACI FMA Europe co-President for a term of 3 years.
Marcel has been a member of ACI Suisse’s Board since 2007 and has served as its Vice President since 2012.
Until 2022, Marcel Zimmermann worked at the Swiss National Bank (SNB) where he held several senior positions, most recently as General Manager of the SNB Stabilisation Fund (2008-2014) and as Head of Money Market and Foreign Exchange (2014-2022). In this role, he was also a member of the international working group that created the FX Global Code. Furthermore, he led the SNB’s activities to reform major interest rate benchmarks, such as the transition from LIBOR to more robust, risk-free alternatives like SARON.
Marcel is now an independent financial market advisor. He holds a DAS in Banking from the Swiss Finance Institute Zurich.
