GDF Releases 2025 Annual Report Highlighting Key Developments in Digital Finance
An overview of recent advances in digital finance.
Global Digital Finance (GDF) has released its 2025 Annual Report, titled A Year of Historic Milestones for Crypto and Digital Assets – Stablecoins and RWA Tokenization Scale at Pace. The Report highlights an extraordinary year of progress in digital asset regulation, growing institutional adoption, and the accelerated deployment of stablecoins and real-world asset tokenisation. The full Report is available here.
The publication includes a contribution from Rui Correia, ACI FMA Chief Executive Officer (pages 97–98), whose insights helped shape the Report. He presents a “real life” scenario demonstrating how institutions can apply good market practices in cryptoasset markets through the ACI FMA ELAC Portal, illustrating practical governance, compliance, and oversight aligned with the GDF Global Cryptoasset Standards.
This work is part of the Joint Standards Stewardship Working Group, a collaboration between GDF and ACI FMA which is supported by EY and Kaiko, with the objective of promoting integrity, transparency, and best practices across global cryptoasset markets. Rui further emphasises that ongoing training and professional accountability are essential for market participants to implement the Standards effectively.
ACI FMA is proud to be recognised among the contributors highlighted by GDF for the 2025 Report and thanks GDF for its continued leadership in advancing professional standards and collaboration in digital finance. We remain committed to supporting market participants in embedding these practices and promoting ethical, transparent, and well-governed financial markets.
